strong Family makes strong business.

At Confrav, an acronym for “Confezioni Ravazzolo”, the techniques of the Venetian Tailoring School are rigorously and jealously preserved over the centuries. The Ravazzolo family tradition in men's clothing making has been handed down from father to son for over 9 generations. Historical research has brought to light that the first Ravazzolo who became passionate about the tailor's trade was a certain Giovanni (known as Zuane) born in 1702. It should be underlined that the distribution channel of the time was obviously very "primitive" and aimed mainly at the neighboring municipalities. In the early twentieth century, Giuseppe, cultivated a passion for tailoring and, with the support of his mother, expanded the small workshop where he made clothing of all kinds by offering it to the main markets in the area. Giuseppe's experience was replicated by Giancarlo when, in the second half of the 1950s, in addition to the markets in the area, he also proposed the outerwear made in Sartoria Ravazzolo to stores in northern Italy. Shortly thereafter, the artisan activity quickly turned into an industrial one at the end of the 1959 decade. Since that time, Ravazzolo's primary goal has been to seek the highest quality and to gain a leading role in the industry. It is precisely the details that distinguish a Ravazzolo suit, made with the principles of the ancient Venetian Tailoring School. The company's strict protocol calls for each garment to be checked several times during processing and finally tested to verify that all quality standards have been met. Today, Ravazzolo is a modern industrial tailor shop that is constantly evolving and can guarantee the tailoring of a made-to-measure garment in just 20 working days. And this is one of the "flagships" of the Company.

VICENZA, HOME OF ART

The tradition of Ravazzolo is anchored in Grumolo delle Abbadesse (province of Vicenza), an area of great artistic and historical value, known worldwide for the majestic Venetian Villas of the famous architect Andrea Palladio. The architectural elements blend with the landscape and evoke a balanced philosophy of life, in a context rich in traditions and valued territory.

The art of making outerwear finds its origins and solid foundation in this philosophy, revealing a passion for craftsmanship that has been handed down from father to son. A history also inherent in the brand’s ICON, which is the result of the revisitation of an ancient eighteenth-century Family coat of arms, inside of which two crossed needles superimposed on a shield have been added, an emblem of craftsmanship and passion for the world of Tailoring.
